Volcanic, dramatic, and walkable year-round. The levada trail network alone takes weeks to explore fully. I plan routes that go beyond the tourist highlights into the real interior of the island — flowering forests, coastal cliffs and villages most visitors never reach.
The ring road is the classic route but the real Iceland is in the details. Knowing which waterfalls to skip, where to camp, how to time the northern lights, and which highland roads are actually worth the detour. Logistics here matter enormously.
Beyond Petra lies one of the most memorable landscapes in the world. Wadi Rum at sunrise from a desert camp, the Dead Sea at dusk, the ancient city of Jerash. Jordan rewards travelers who go deeper, and I know exactly how to sequence it.
The Lofoten archipelago looks almost unreal. Jagged peaks dropping straight into turquoise water, red fishing huts on stilts, empty beaches you'll share with no one. It rewards those who explore slowly and off the main road.
A high-altitude trail through the Stubai Alps that most hikers never hear about. Dramatic glacier views, traditional mountain huts, and a route that feels genuinely remote despite being just south of Innsbruck.
